In a recent report, Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that Manchester United are close to recruiting Atalanta midfielder Ederson. It has been stated that the Red Devils are inching closer to sealing a move for the Brazilian talent in this summer transfer window.

Ederson’s Impressive Form In Serie A

Ederson managed to put in a run of solid performances at the centre of Atalanta’s midfield in the previous campaign. The 26-year-old netted three goals and grabbed a couple of assists in 41 matches for the Italian club last season across all fronts.

The Brazilian sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in Serie A. Therefore, the Red Devils would do well to snap him up in this transfer window.

His current contract at Atalanta will run out at the end of next season, which could open the door for Man United to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

However, only time will tell whether he can replicate his good form in the Premier League if the Red Devils end up recruiting him later this year.
