Manchester United are reportedly in contention with Liverpool and Newcastle United for Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson.
Anderson has been earning rave reviews with his performances since joining Forest from Newcastle in 2024 for a £35 million fee.
He has featured in 56 appearances across all competitions for the Tricky Trees, with three goals and seven assists to his name.
Anderson has also started five of the last six England games and is expected to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s playing XI at the 2026 World Cup.
According to The Times, United are monitoring the progress of the 23-year-old before a potential move in the summer.
The Red Devils are looking to add a top midfielder with Casemiro likely to leave the club in 2026.
The Brazilian has been a key player under manager Ruben Amorim this season, but he turns 34 in February and is currently the highest earner at Old Trafford.
Liverpool have also been linked with an interest in Anderson, but their chances of signing him are slim given they spent big on their midfield in the last window.
Newcastle were forced to sell their academy graduate to avoid breaching the Profitability and Sustainability Rule, but they are keen to re-sign him.
A return to St James’ Park could appeal to Anderson, whose maternal grandfather, Geoff Allen, played for the Tyneside club in the 1960s.
However, Forest could demand as much as £100m for their star player, whose contract at the City Ground will expire in 2029.
