United head to Villa Park for crucial Premier League clash without six senior players
Ruben Amorim is facing a selection dilemma for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa.
United travel to Villa Park on the back of a thrilling 4-4 draw against Bournemouth which made it three games without a win at Old Trafford.
Away from home though, United have won their last two and are unbeaten in five since losing 3-1 to Brentford at the end of September.
Hopes of recording a third successive away win have been hit with several senior players ruled out for the trip to the West Midlands for one reason or another.
Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo are all away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, meaning Man Utd’s right-hand side has been impacted.
Amorim may look to keep Leny Yoro as the right-sided central defender, ask Diogo Dalot to switch flanks and hand recalls to Joshua Zirkzee and Patrick Dorgu.
Given Benjamin Sesko has just returned from injury, it may be too soon for the striker to start which opens the door for Zirkzee to lead the line ahead of Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount.
Man United will once again be without central defensive pairing Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire as they continue their recovories from injury at the club’s training base.
"I think everyone is well," Amorim said on Friday. "We have one more training [session] but, today, the rest of the lads are ready to go.
“I'm saying that nobody will recover, nobody is out. Just the guys that you already know."

Another Man Utd absentee is Casemiro as the Brazilian is suspended after accumulating too many yellow cards before the Premier League cut-off point.
Manuel Ugarte is an option to come into the United midfield, though Kobbie Mainoo is pushing for a start having been informed he will face no punishment over the ‘Free Kobbie’ stunt performed by his brother earlier in the week.
Predicted Manchester United XI: Lammens; Yoro, Heaven, Shaw; Dalot, Mainoo, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mount, Cunha; Zirkzee
Injured: De Ligt, Maguire
Suspened: Casemiro
Unavailable: Mazraoui, Amad, Mbeumo (AFCON)
