Villarreal clinched their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League with a 5-1 derby win over Levante at Estadio de la Cerámica on Saturday, a day defined by cordial relations between clubs and supporters.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal (APV) hosted the Delegació de Penyes del Levante before kick-off for their traditional act of fraternity. The 600 travelling Levante fans were applauded when the stadium announcer recognised them.

President Fernando Roig and chief executive Fernando Roig Negueroles led the boardroom meeting, where Roig presented a ceramic gift to Levante president Pablo Sánchez Morante.
Pre-match, pilota valenciana trio Puchol II, Javi and Carlos, champions of the 10th Trofeu Villarreal CF at the Salvador Sagols trinquet in Vila-real, were honoured on the pitch to warm applause.
The club’s Fan Zone offered activities for youngsters, including a PlayZone, a 3x3 pitch, face painting, crafts, a shot challenge, a mechanical bull and a keepy-uppy contest. Ambar Triple Zero was present alongside Aludme Dystonia, a non-profit supporting people affected by dystonia.
Peña Sant Pasqual de Vila-real, marking its 25th anniversary, were the day’s featured supporters’ club and joined the starting XI for the team photograph.
