Marmoush opens up on Salah rivalry ahead of City–Liverpool clash
Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush has revealed that he avoids discussing the Premier League title race with Mohamed Salah whenever the two meet on international duty with Egypt insisting that their rivalry remains strictly professional ahead of Sunday’s top of the table showdown between City & Liverpool.
In interview published on the Man City official website, Marmoush said he feels "honoured" to share the Premier League stage with Salah and is proud of what their presence represents for Egyptian football.
"Playing against Salah means a lot to me" Marmoush said. "To have two Egyptian player competing for the Premier League title is amazing but I hope City will win the championship in the end"
The 25 year old added that the two superstar deliberately steer clear of football talk when they join up with the national team:
Marmoush continued:
"I’m proud that there are two Egyptian playing for two of the biggest club in the world. I’m sure people back home are happy to see both of us on the same pitch in match like this"
