Marseille duo Igor Paixao and Amine Harit ‘to undergo’ injury tests after Le Classique | OneFootball

Igor Paixao and Amine Harit were both forced off during Marseille’s 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday’s Le Classique.

L’Équipe reports that the duo are set to undergo medical assessments on their respective injuries.

Paixao was withdrawn in the first half and replaced by Angel Gomes, who later scored for OM. Post-match, Bruno Genesio suggested an ankle problem, though the report said the top of the fibula was affected after an awkward landing. His tests are scheduled for Tuesday.

Genesio also said Harit was only dealing with cramp, but the report indicated a muscular issue that will require an MRI later this week.

Both are key to a Marseille squad short on depth because of financial constraints, and any extended absence would be a major blow.
