Marseille ‘to explore’ move for Paris FC winger Ilan Kebbal | OneFootball

Marseille are considering a move for Paris FC attacker Ilan Kebbal, 28, as they seek to rebuild a thinned forward line, La Provence reports.

OM have entered August without a single signing, with focus on raising funds and trimming the wage bill before strengthening Bruno Genesio’s squad. Sporting director Grégory Lorenzi is working on targets while waiting for approval.

Kebbal is among the options after a standout season for Paris FC, with nine goals and five assists in 31 appearances last term.

The Marseille-born right-sided player could replace Mason Greenwood on the flank after the departures of Greenwood, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Hamed Junior Traorè. Talks have been held between Marseille and Kebbal, but no agreement has been reached with the player or Paris FC.

A transfer would be a homecoming. Kebbal came through at Burel before spells with Marignane-Gignac Côte Bleue.

Obstacles remain, as he is under contract with Paris FC until 2028 and is rated by new manager Liam Rosenior. The capital club are reluctant to sell and could demand a fee.
