Aston Villa will clash heads with Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena this Wednesday night as they look to earn a good result in the EFL Cup. The Villans suffered a tough 2-1 loss at the hands of Nottingham Forest recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a victory in midweek.
Unai Emery will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first team for this clash. Ibrahim Mbaye, Tyrone Mings and Tammy Abraham could all play from the start of this game.
Marco Bizot will feature in between the sticks for the Villans as he looks to keep a clean sheet away from home. Taylor Harwood-Bellis will operate alongside Tyrone Mings at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they try to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will try to impress as the right-back, while Matteo Ruggeri looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Pau Torres will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Boubacar Kamara and Lamare Bogarde will anchor the midfield for the Villans as they focus on establishing their dominance over the home team at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Ibrahim Mbaye, Emiliano Buendia and John McGinn will play just ahead of them as part of the Aston Villa attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Villans are to secure a convincing win on the road in midweek.
Greg Hemmings and Alysson will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.
Tammy Abraham will lead the line for the West Midlands club up top. He has to figure out a way to be a constant menace on the offensive end of the field.
Nicolas Jackson will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if needed.
