Southampton are close to confirming the signing of Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz on loan.
The 25-year-old has been playing for Hamburger SV on loan from Bayern in the first half of the season.
After failing to secure regular game time, the deal was terminated, and Bayern have reached an agreement with Southampton.

Earlier today, we covered that the former Maccabi Tel Aviv keeper would move to Southampton with immediate effect.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Peretz’s move to Southampton is a ‘done deal’.
The goalkeeper is currently undergoing his medical to complete his move. He will join on a six-month loan, with Southampton having the option to buy him permanently.
Journalist Luca Bendoni adds that the Saints will have an option to buy for around €8m, as they are set to complete the transfer.
We reported last month that Southampton were keenly interested in signing the goalkeeper, who has struggled to secure regular game time at Hamburg on loan.
The Israel international goalkeeper joined Bayern from Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2023 and has made only seven appearances for the senior side.
It was always going to be difficult for him to replace Manuel Neuer in the starting role at Bayern, so a loan move was considered the best option.
Peretz failed to secure regular game time at Hamburg, and Bayern have decided to terminate the deal and send him to Southampton on loan.
If he manages to impress for the Championship side, they might consider signing him permanently next summer.
Neuer could extend his deal for one more season at the club, considering the fact that he has been in top form so far.
Jonas Urbig has been the second-choice keeper at Bayern, and he is most likely to replace Neuer permanently once he retires.
