Casemiro will return for Manchester United against Nottingham Forest on Sunday in what is set to be his farewell before exiting the club but Benjamin Sesko remains a doubt.
Michael Carrick hopes to call on the Brazilian, who has been rejuvenated under him, though his contract is set to expire with his next move still unclear.
And the midfielder is over a minor issue that kept him out of the midweek draw with Sunderland.
Though Sesko is still nursing a shin injury after exiting the game against Liverpool, with this weekend’s game likely to come too soon, with the hope he can feature in the final game at Brighton next Sunday.
“Case is available,” Carrick said. “He’s fully invested, fully supported by us as a staff in the performances he’s given.
“He’s obviously had some ups and downs, like we all have in football and over the years, but to finish so strongly and to see that connection that he’s got with the supporters is really good to see.”
While Sesko is “still not 100 per cent,” the 44-year-old added, with talks underway to remain at the club in a permanent capacity.
“Listen, the future for me is going to be decided pretty soon,” Carrick said. “We knew that was going to be towards the end of the season, if not the end of the season, so nothing’s changed.
“There’s no big swing on that, that is what it is, and obviously whatever’s beyond that is pretty close round the corner anyway.

“It’s a unique football club, special football club. I’m immensely proud to have come back and to be part of it, to help.
“As a supporter, as an ex-player and an ex-employee is one thing, but as a pure supporter and caring about the club so much to be in a position to come back and help him for us as a group to move forward it was important.
“To make the big step to get back into the Champions League is good and obviously we’re happy with the work that we’ve done so far.”
