Michel wants Mika Godts to stay at Ajax for another season, despite interest from PSG. According to L'Équipe, the Spanish coach set out his preference after the win.

Ajax beat Volendam 3-1 on Sunday. Godts was not in the matchday squad, yet his future dominated the post-match discussion.

Michel, who arrived this summer from Girona, described the Belgian winger as a major talent. He said he would like him to remain in Amsterdam for one more year.

Godts delivered 32 goal contributions in 44 matches last season.

While not closing the door on a move, Michel underlined that, for now, the player is still an Ajax footballer. His agent had said the day before that the Belgian had a preliminary agreement with the two-time European champions.
