AC Milan have opened talks with West Ham United over a potential loan move for striker Niclas Fullkrug (The Athletic).

The Rossoneri’s need for a recognised number nine has intensified following confirmation that Santiago Gimenez requires ankle surgery.

Gimenez has been sidelined since the 1-1 draw with Atalanta in late October and is facing an extended spell out of action.

That setback has left Milan short of proven goalscorers as they assess short-term solutions ahead of a busy domestic run.

Fullkrug has emerged as a leading option, with discussions ongoing over a temporary deal rather than a permanent transfer.

The 32-year-old has struggled to establish himself at West Ham since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024.
