Mkhitaryan ‘to miss’ Fiorentina match after muscle injury | OneFootball

Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to miss the Serie A trip to Fiorentina on 22 March after suffering a muscle injury.

He picked up the issue during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Atalanta, having played 45 minutes after replacing Petar Sucic at half-time. Calciomercato.com reports he will undergo medical tests in the coming days to assess the problem. Inter also hope Hakan Çalhanoğlu can return in Florence.

With his contract up at the end of the season, the report also says Inter are considering offering him a one-year extension.

Mkhitaryan, 37, has scored two goals and provided three assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.

Inter lead Serie A by an eight-point margin over second-placed Milan, who have a game in hand.
