In a recent report, Quotidiano Sportivo stated that Roma midfielder Manu Kone wants to join Arsenal this summer. It has been claimed that the French talent is dreaming of a move to join the Gunners later this year.

Kone’s Decent Form In Serie A

Kone enjoyed a good run of form at the Italian club in the previous campaign when he put in a series of impressive displays for them in Serie A. The 25-year-old netted a couple of goals and picked up three assists in 37 matches for Roma last season across all competitions.

The 25-year-old is currently one of the most talented central midfielders in Serie A. Thus, the Gunners would do well to bring him on board in this transfer window.

His current contract at Roma will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Launch A Move For Kone?

Kone loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to make some important interceptions at the back for his team. He usually clears his lines when required and is a good passer as well.

The French sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team from midfield. Kone mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or as an attacking midfielder if needed. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up this summer.

We can expect Kone to add more quality and depth to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s midfield. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.
