Morgan Rogers named Europa League Player of the Season | OneFootball

Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has been named the Europa League's Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.

The Villans romped to Europa League glory on Wednesday night with a 3-0 over Freiburg, a game in which Rogers was once again a star – assisting Youri Tielemans' opener before scoring his side's third with just under an hour gone to effectively kill off the game.

That performance was a perfect capper for a fine campaign for Rogers who played 15 Europa League games in total, scoring three times and assisting five.

Freiburg player Johan Manzambi, 20, was also honoured after being named the Revelation of the Season.

There was also the Europa League's official Team of the Season which included four Villa players as well as two from defeated semi-finals Nottingham Forest.

Emiliano Martínez, John McGinn, Emiliano Buendía, and of course, Morgan Rogers were also selected from Villa alongside Forest's Brazilian pair of Morato and Igor Jesus.

That team was completed by Antony (Real Betis), Óscar Mingueza (Celta), Víctor Gómez (Braga), Max Eggestein and Matthias Ginter (both Freiburg).
