The new Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has been assessing the available players for the last one and a half weeks, and having already led several training sessions in this preseason, it seems like he has already made some decisions about the futures of some of the players.
This is particularly the case for the young forward Franco Mastantuono, as SPORT cites Fabrizio Romano to claim that the Portuguese coach has given the green light for the departure of the Argentine on loan.
While Mourinho is seemingly not counting on him for the next season, the Merengue club still does not want to permanently part ways with him. As a result, there will be no purchase clause in his loan contract. Endrick’s loan with Lyon last season is a cause for optimism at Real Madrid that, like the Brazilian, the Argentine can also regain his form with a loan.
It remains to be seen where Mastantuono will be playing next season, but he has no shortage of suitors. The report mentions that he has offers from up to five different clubs in Spain and abroad interested in the forward, despite his poor first season in Europe. One of these sides is the Premier League club Fulham, where Alvaro Arbeloa recently took charge of the first team.
There is no doubt that his first season at Real Madrid was quite underwhelming. Although he arrived as a promising youngster, both Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa gave him ample opportunities to showcase his abilities with his new club. However, he did not take full advantage of these opportunities, and scored only three goals in thirty-five appearances.
Hopefully, Franco Mastantuono will be able to finalize a loan soon, and this loan will help him improve his form and return to Real Madrid next year as an even better player.
