Napoli have ‘approached’ French defenders Benoît Badiashile and Jean-Clair Todibo, Gazzetta reports.

For Badiashile, Gazzetta says initial contact has been made with Chelsea over a €3m paid loan, with the 25-year-old earning €2.5m for a season in Italy.

He joined Chelsea in 2023 and, hampered by injuries and competition, made 16 appearances in 2025-26.

Talks for Todibo, 26, are described as less advanced. Napoli view the West Ham defender as cover after Alessandro Buongiorno’s right-knee injury, and he is also attracting interest elsewhere in Europe.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Napoli may not recruit without outgoing deals. With only one vacancy, it appears unlikely both Frenchmen would arrive.

Napoli have already activated three purchase options this window, adding Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United for €44m, Portuguese winger Alisson Santos from Sporting for €16.5m, and Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic for €6m.
