Ndicka ruled out for Verona, Pellegrini and Kone doubtful | OneFootball

It seemed impossible, but Roma will enter the final matchday against Verona with their fate in their hands.

The Giallorossi, after their derby victory and Juventus’ simultaneous defeat in Turin against Fiorentina, are finally in fourth place in the table and “only” need to win their final match to return to Europe’s top club competition.

In yesterday’s derby, however, Ndicka was injured.

The Ivorian center-back was forced off during the first half, and tests performed this morning revealed a grade-two tear to his right hamstring.

Therefore, he’s set to miss the match against Verona. Ghilardi will likely take his place.

The number 5 will try to return to full fitness for the World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada with his Ivory Coast team.

As for Pellegrini, however, inflammation has been reported on the scar on his right hamstring and he will be evaluated on a daily basis.

The same goes for Koné, who is struggling with functional overload and his condition will be monitored daily to determine whether he will be eligible for the matchday 38 match.
