Arsenal have been linked with transfer moves for a couple of Newcastle United players in recent weeks, with Tino Livramento touted as a potential replacement for Ben White, and Anthony Gordon among the options the Gunners are considering on the wings.
But if the pair were hoping to impress on an audition at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, those hopes have been dashed by recent injuries, throwing their participation into doubt.

On Gordon, Eddie Howe told the media: “He missed training on Thursday and Friday with a problem he picked up on Wednesday. So, we knew he wasn’t going to be ready. It was an injury.
“With Anthony [Gordon], we are unclear (whether he could be back for Arsenal). I don’t think it is a long-term injury, whether he makes next week, we are not sure. We will have to see how he goes in training.”
The situation seems to be similar for Livramento as well, with Howe saying: “For Tino [Livramento], we are not sure, it is a huge blow for him and for us. I actually thought he, in part with Kieran’s introduction at the start of the second half, impressed (against Bournemouth).”

Newcastle will certainly be without Joelinton, who is suspended for accumulating 10 yellow cards across the season. Emil Krafth and Fabian Schar are the other long-term absentees for Howe’s side.
Gordon has scored 17 goals and assisted five for Newcastle this season, though 12 of those 22 contributions have come in the Champions League rather than the Premier League.
Even so, the forward has three goals in his last four Premier League games, and he will be one of the danger men for Newcastle if he’s fit against Arsenal.
