Newcastle United have agreed a deal to buy Nick Woltemade.

Both Keith Downie of Sky Sports and Craig Hope of The Mail reporting the breakthrough.

The Sky Sports reporter says that Nick Woltemade will arrive on Tyneside for his medical tomorrow (Friday 29 August 2025).

Both journalists reporting it as a new Newcastle United transfer record.

Sky Sports stating it is a £65m deal, with £60.5m guaranteed plus £4.5m add-ons.

Craig Hope at The Mail saying he understands it is even higher, around £75m.

Nick Woltemade scored 17 times for Stuttgart last season.

Whilst the 23 year old was also a real stand out player at this summer’s Under 21 Euros.

Woltemade finished top scorer in the finals with six goals.

The striker also has two senior caps for Germany and is seen as one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards.

Whether Nick Woltemade will be the first of two strikers signed in the upcoming days and Alexander Isak finally leaving, or Newcastle United retaining Alexander Isak as well as signing Nick Woltemade. Very unlikely that Eddie Howe will be left with just one striker option.
