Newcastle United ticket prices increase by over 17% on last season | OneFootball

The Newcastle United ticket prices for the 2025/26 Premier League season have proved…interesting.

Something that the local media have totally ignored.

Newcastle United members had been waiting with interest to see what they would be charged for Premier League tickets at St James’ Park this new 2025/26 season.

As per last season, before you can enter any SJP home match ticket ballot, you first have to buy a one year/season NUFC membership, the cheapest adult price for one of these is £37.

Just in case you aren’t aware of the process, for each home match as a member, you get a 24 hour window to enter the ballot for tickets.

Unless you qualify for (have kids) and want to apply for the family enclosure, you click ‘rest of stadium’ and if you are successful in the ballot, you usually then get a specified 48 hour period to choose and buy your seat. The vast majority of the rest of the stadium cheapest tickets are in the Gallowgate and Leazes ends, with a higher price to pay if you get seats in the Milburn or East stands.

NUFC divide the 19 Premier League matches into two groups when it comes to Newcastle United ticket prices, normally around half a dozen of the 19 matches are charged at a higher price compared to the other 13 or so.

We have now had the ballot results for both the Liverpool and Wolves matches, so we now know what the Newcastle United ticket prices are in 2025/26 for both the standard matches and the more attractive ones.

2024/25 Newcastle United ticket prices for home Premier League matches:

Last (2024/25) season, a minimum £47 price (rest of stadium) for standard Newcastle United home matches, a minimum of £50 for what the club deemed the more attractive Premier League games.

2025/26 Newcastle United ticket prices for home Premier League matches:

This (2025/26) season, a minimum £55 price (rest of stadium) for standard Newcastle United home matches, a minimum of £58 for what the club deemed the more attractive Premier League games.

So for the standard Premier League matches (such as Wolves), the minimum adult Newcastle United ticket prices have gone up from £47 to £55, an increase of 17.02%!

For the more attractive Premier League matches (such as Liverpool), the minimum adult Newcastle United ticket prices have gone up from £50 to £58, an increase of 16.00%

If we look further back to the 2023/24 season, as an adult it was a minimum £44 price for standard Newcastle United home matches, a minimum of £47 for what the club deem the more attractive Premier League games.

So in two years the Newcastle United ticket prices for standard PL matches have gone up by 25.00% (£44 to £55), whilst the more attractive games the minimum adult ticket price has gone up by 23.40% (£47 to £58).

No wonder the club are desperate to have as few season ticket holders as possible, in order to take advantage of what match by match tickets will generate in revenue.

Many Newcastle United members will pay their £37 a year membership fee with the intention of going to just one game during the season. That kind of single trip per season generating a minimum of £95 (£37 membership plus £58 minimum ticket price) if an NUFC member only goes to say this Liverpool game, a minimum of £92 (£37 membership plus £55 minimum ticket price) if say only goes to the Wolves match.

Whilst even for Newcastle United members who enter ballots every single Premier League match, last season it appeared they were lucky to get more than two or three successes in 2024/25, whilst some members reported not having a single success in the ballots all season.
