Neymar in tears as Brazil recall confirmed for World Cup | OneFootball

Neymar has been recalled to Brazil for the first time since late 2023, named in Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July. The announcement left him in tears of joy and relief.

As reported by L'Équipe, the forward watched the squad reveal surrounded by family and friends when Seleção coach Carlo Ancelotti read out his name.

In a message afterwards, he called it one of the most emotional and happiest days of his life.

Partner Bruna Biancardi embraced him as he raised his arms and held his head in both hands.

The 34-year-old has been racing against time in recent months to reach an acceptable level and put himself back in contention. Clips posted on YouTube show relatives congratulating him one by one.
