Nico Gonzalez can attract Inter and Roma interest, Juventus open to loan | OneFootball

Inter would need help from Al-Ittihad for Moussa Diaby’s salary, so Sky Sport Italia claim they joined Roma in asking Juventus for Nico Gonzalez.

The biggest requirements on the transfer market at the moment in Serie A would seem to be wide attacking players, as they are creating the fiercest bidding wars, and are also the most difficult to lock down.

Inter need a replacement for Denzel Dumfries following his move to Real Madrid, while Roma have lacked someone in that role ever since Gian Piero Gasperini took over at the Stadio Olimpico.

Diaby has been identified as a potential new signing for Inter on loan, or with Kristjan Asllani as part of a package to buy, but Sportitalia warn that it would only be possible if Al-Ittihad helped cover a portion of his extraordinary salary.

Al-Ittihad paid €60m to buy Diaby from Aston Villa in 2024 and tempted him with huge wages that are well beyond the Serie A Champions.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter could instead turn towards Juventus outcast Nico Gonzalez, who just returned from a loan experience with Atletico Madrid.

The Argentina international impressed for his country at the World Cup and is under contract until June 2029, so a loan with option to buy would be feasible.

It is reported this evening that the Nerazzurri have made initial contact with his entourage, but they face competition from Roma, who see Nico Gonzalez as an alternative to Antonio Nusa of RB Leipzig.
