Following a brace during Norwich City's 4-1 victory against Burnley, Mohamed Toure is the subject of transfer interest from Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The 22-year-old Australian forward has only been a Norwich City player since January, after joining the Canaries from Randers FC. Having had a modest record with the Danish outfit, few could have predicted him to explode the way he has at Carrow Road.

Mo Toure scored 10 and assisted three in his first 12 matches in a Norwich shirt, before opening the current campaign with three goals and an assist in four appearances. He now has more goal involvements than played games for Norwich.

After bagging 13 goals in just 16 games, he was always likely to be firmly on the radar of potential suitors. For a 21-year-old striker to score at such a remarkable rate in the Championship, while still having plenty of development ahead of him, is bound to attract attention from clubs higher up the footballing ladder.

Toure's record suggests Norwich have unearthed a forward with excellent goalscoring instincts, while his age only added to his appeal. When a young player combines proven end product with obvious room to improve, transfer interest is always inevitable.

Journalist and transfer expert Rudy Galetti states Turkish giants Trabzonspor have made an official bid to Norwich for Toure with just days left before the English transfer deadline.

He adds that the Championship outfit is not currently keen to let the striker leave, but Trabzonspor have planned further talks today as they push hard for him. Norwich have been backed to get £20 million for Toure, following interest from Hull City and Sporting CP earlier this summer via Galetti on X.

Norwich have been tipped to sign Jamie Vardy if Toure departs, but other strikers are at the club currently as well. Norwich could arguably be in a position to sanction Toure's departure if the right offer arrives, particularly if they can reinvest the money in areas of the squad that still need strengthening.

Philippe Clement has other attacking options to call upon, with Jovon Makama edging closer to a return, while Ante Crnac recently marked his comeback from a long-term injury with a goal. Mathias Kvistgaarden has also made a solid start to the campaign, giving the Canaries decent depth and competition up front.

With those options potentially enough to cover Toure's exit for the remainder of the Championship campaign, selling at the right price could make sense from both a sporting and financial perspective. That has to be a consideration for Norwich supporters and the hierarchy alike before the deadline.

Of course, keeping Toure could prove to be even smarter for Norwich, particularly if they believe their firepower can make them one of the Championship's highest-scoring sides in 2026/27.

Clement had already transformed the Canaries into a far more dangerous attacking outfit after arriving in November 2025, and retaining Toure alongside Makama, Crnac, Kvistgaarden, and Andre Brooks and co. would give him formidable depth for a long Championship season.

With only a few days left before the transfer deadline, there is also arguably little time to reinvest any sale proceeds effectively. Norwich could therefore keep their squad intact until January, reassess their position then, and potentially command an even bigger fee if Toure's goals have helped fire them into an excellent league position.

That may be the best plan of action, but every player has a price. That is still the case all the way up until the very last minute as well, which is why fans shouldn't be so sure that this saga is over, especially with the Turkish transfer deadline ending three days after England's window.
