Norwich City triple injury blow revealed – with striker set for months out | OneFootball

Norwich City striker Mo Toure is set to undergo shoulder surgery and will be sidelined for several months, head coach Philippe Clement has revealed.

The Australia international was forced off during Sunday’s 4-3 Championship defeat to Bolton and is now set for a lengthy spell out.

“Mo Toure will be out for months and he will need surgery,” Clement told the PinkUn. “That is a bad one.”

Norwich have also suffered further injury setbacks, with captain Kenny McLean and Ben Chrisene both expected to miss a number of weeks.

“Kenny will be one we lose for a few weeks but that is still under assessment how long exactly,” Clement added.

“Same for Ben. It is a bad balance. Three contact injuries. A really bad game on that side.”

McLean suffered an ankle problem late in the game, while Chrisene picked up a shoulder injury but was able to complete the match.

Clement admitted the timing is particularly frustrating but says the international break gives Norwich a chance to regroup.

“We have to use this break to reset and have a strong start to the second lap of eight games,” he said.
