Nottingham Forest set to sign midfielder Gustavo Sá | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest are close to completing the signing of midfielder Gustavo Sá.

The Tricky Trees will sign the player for a fee of around €20 million (approx. £17 million) in a deal that has been confirmed by out Portuguese sister site, Zerozero.

The deal will be the third-biggest transfer income for FC Famalicão, behind only Ibrahima Ba (who has just joined Sporting CP) and Manuel Ugarte, now of Manchester United, when he also joined Sporting.

However, Gustavo Sá will not be arriving in the Premier League just yet. Nottingham Forest, owned by Evangelos Marinakis – who also controls Portuguese side Rio Ave – will loan the player to Olympiakos, who are fighting to secure a place in the league phase of the Champions League.

Gustavo Sá leaves Famalicão after joining the club at under-15 level before reaching the first team. In total, the midfielder scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists in 120 appearances at the Minho club.
