Nottingham Forest To Purchase €20 Million Priced Gustavo Sa and Loan to Olympiacos | OneFootball

Portuguese reports have linked Olympiacos with Gustavo Sá, Famalicão’s 21-year-old captain and attacking midfielder. Brazilian reports have concluded that Nottingham Forest will make the purchase and subsequently loan the player to Olympiacos for at least 6 months. The sale is reported to be €20 million, with English clubs also interested. Sá is represented by Jorge Mendes, while Olympiacos football director António Miguel Cardoso is described as potentially important to the operation.

Sá would not appear to be an alternative with exactly the same role as Titraoui.

Titraoui projects primarily as a mobile No. 8 capable of operating deeper and contributing heavily to pressing and ball progression. Sá is a taller, more attack-oriented midfielder who can function as a No. 10 and contribute closer to the penalty area.

Signing both would therefore represent an attempt to reshape the midfield’s creative ceiling rather than simply adding duplicate options.

The financial difficulty is considerable. At €20 Million , combined with interest from England, Sá is in a market where Olympiacos cannot purchase without assistance from existing relationships and a convincing sporting plan.

Jorge Mendes’ involvement and Cardoso’s Portuguese connections may facilitate access, but neither guarantees favourable terms or the player’s willingness to choose Greece.
