Palmeiras celebrated its anniversary with a fresh landmark as Nubank Parque registered its nine millionth attendee at men's matches, reached during the 3-0 win over Santos in the Copa do Brasil quarter-final first leg.

The derby on Wednesday drew 40,698 to the stands, tipping the stadium past the figure. As reported by Globo.com, the count covers only men's fixtures.

Opened in November 2014, Nubank Parque has staged 357 first-team games, yielding 234 home wins, 72 draws and 51 defeats.

There, Palmeiras sealed nine trophies, namely two Campeonato Brasileiros in 2016 and 2022, two Copas do Brasil in 2015 and 2020, one Recopa Sul-Americana in 2022 and four Campeonato Paulistas in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Against Santos, Flaco López strengthened his hold on fourth in the arena's scoring list, his brace taking him to 35, behind Raphael Veiga, Dudu and Rony, who also featured for the black-and-white side.

Match attendances account for around half of all visitors to the venue. The stadium's official site notes that more than 18 million people have attended events at the multi-use arena, across matches and concerts.
