The signs between Alexander Nübel and FC Bayern are finally pointing to his departure and it is now clear how much the Munich club are willing to pay for the goalkeeper
Alexander Nübel is apparently no longer playing a role at FC Bayern. After the Munich club recently extended the contracts of Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich and clearly set up Jonas Urbig as a solution for the future, the 29-year-old is set to leave the club in the summer
As reported by Sky, FC Bayern are currently demanding a transfer fee of between ten and 15 million euros for the international goalkeeper
Those responsible are still aiming for a permanent sale, although there have been no concrete inquiries or negotiations to date
Nübel’s salary apparently remains particularly problematic. According to Sky, the keeper earns around twelve million euros gross per year at FC Bayern – a sum that is likely to put off potential suitors
Internally, there has long been clarity at Säbener Straße about the goalkeeper’s future, with sporting director Max Eberl emphasizing at the announcement of the Neuer and Ulreich extensions: „Manuel Neuer, Sven Ulreich and Jonas Urbig form a goalkeeping team in which everyone has their role and which develops together.“
What is striking is that Nübel was not mentioned by any of those responsible
Christoph Freund also recently openly confirmed that the keeper is no longer part of Bayern’s plans. „We had an exchange with his management and Alex also knows what our plans are,“ explained the sporting director after the 5:1 win against 1. FC Köln
Nübel is still under contract with VfB Stuttgart until June 30, after which he will officially return to Munich

However, whether he will actually stay at Säbener Straße again seems questionable at the moment. According to Sky, Nübel will initially be given a vacation after the DFB Cup final, while a permanent solution is being sought in parallel
It is also unlikely that Nübel will remain in Stuttgart, with the Swabians apparently increasingly focusing internally on top talent Dennis Seimen as their future number 1.
