Nuno Espirito Santo says West Ham are still assessing Crysencio Summerville before Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Leeds United at the London Stadium.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the former Leeds winger has been sidelined since a calf injury in last month’s fifth round tie with Brentford, missing his last two club games and March duty with the Netherlands. There had been reports he could return after the international break, but evaluations are ongoing.

Espirito Santo explained that the squad are being checked after the international window, noting some players returned in good shape while others came back with issues. He said Summerville is being monitored day by day and that decisions will be left until late if required.

West Ham had 10 players away, including Konstantinos Mavropanos, who sustained a head injury in a 1-0 defeat against Paraguay last Friday and was withdrawn with seven minutes remaining. He then missed Tuesday’s match against Hungary in Budapest.

Doubts also remain over centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo after a calf problem in the warm-up before the Aston Villa match prior to the break, the 26-year-old did not feature against Villa. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has not played since an under-21 outing in September because of a back issue.
