Nuno Mendes celebrated Paris Saint-Germain’s second Champions League triumph, saying the team have already secured their place in history, while stressing his priority now is to prepare for the 2026 World Cup.

According to L'Équipe, bus horns sounded in the distance as players hurried through a lively mixed zone, keen to rejoin their families at the hotel.

Marquinhos reflected that the feeling was different to last year’s maiden victory, calling this run tough until the end and saying it will live long in the club’s history.

He added that PSG did what was required against a very strong Arsenal, and that the squad were ready for all scenarios. He praised Luis Enrique for driving the group since last summer and for showing them the way.

Marquinhos also pointed to the squad’s youth and their potential to achieve much more over the coming years. Mendes said they would rest and celebrate, but he wants to prepare for the World Cup first before thinking about what comes next. He noted that few teams manage back-to-back titles and that PSG are very proud.
