La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday announced a fresh setback on the personnel front in the club’s first-team squad.

This comes amid confirmation that Dani Olmo is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Midfielder Olmo for his part set alarm bells sounding in Catalunya’s capital yesterday evening.

This came after the Spanish international was forced into a premature departure from Barcelona’s La Liga victory over Atlético Madrid.

After putting the Blaugrana in front during the 2nd-half, Olmo went to ground clutching his shoulder, before being swiftly hauled off.

And as alluded to above, 24 hours on, confirmation of the extent of the 27-year-old’s problem has been confirmed.

As per a statement across Barca’s website and social media platforms:

‘The first team player Dani Olmo suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the game on Tuesday against Atlético Madrid. After tests, it has been decided to follow a conservative course of treatment. Recovery time is approximately one month.’
