Official: Celik joins Juventus until 2029 on free transfer from Roma, €1m agent fee | OneFootball

Zeki Celik is officially a Juventus player, with the Bianconeri completing the free-transfer signing of the Turkey defender on a contract to 30 June 2029.

According to the club’s announcement, “Zeki Celik is a new Juventus player. The Turkish wing-back has signed a contract that will keep him at the Bianconeri until 30 June 2029.”

The statement noted that the 1997-born defender “arrives in Turin with a wealth of experience,” having won a Ligue 1 title and French Super Cup across four seasons at Lille after making his name in his homeland.

A separate regulatory filing confirmed Juventus will incur ancillary costs of €1 million as part of the registration, the only outlay on a player who arrives for no transfer fee.

Celik completes stunning switch after Roma renewal collapsed

The confirmation seals one of the window’s more remarkable turns.

Celik spent four seasons in the capital and had agreed terms on a Roma renewal earlier this month, with only the announcement thought to be outstanding, but his previous contract had lapsed on 30 June, leaving him a free agent, and Juventus moved at speed this week to hijack the deal, sporting director Frederic Massara driving a swift, silent operation that culminated in Wednesday’s medical.
