AS Monaco have officially announced the permanent transfer of Ansu Fati (23) from FC Barcelona for a fee of €11m. The Spanish forward has signed a four-year contract with the Principality club, running until June 2030.
Having arrived in France out of form, the Bissau-born player eventually managed to regain his form and made 30 appearances (13 as a starter) in all competitions during the 2025-26 season. Having become a key member of the Monaco squad, Fati also showcased his goalscoring prowess, finding the net 12 times – once every 110 minutes – the best ratio in Ligue 1.
This is a fine return to form for the La Masia graduate, once regarded by Blaugrana supporters as the heir to Lionel Messi (39), whose early career had unfortunately been marred by numerous injuries and difficult experiences. A Spanish international, Fati has also made 10 appearances and scored two goals for La Roja.
