Real Madrid will be aiming to bring an end to their four-game winless run as they get set to take on Deportivo Alaves later tonight at the Santiago Bernabeu.
With kick-off just an hour way, Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa has announced the starting XI that will take the field against the relegation-threatened side. And, there are a couple of changes to the team that started against Bayern Munich last week.
Two of alterations come in defence, where Dean Huijsen replaces Antonio Rudiger as Eder Militao’s centre-back partner, while Alvaro Carreras comes in at left-back in place of Ferland Mendy.
Trent Alexander-Arnold continues at right-back, while Andriy Lunin retains his place in goal Thibaut Courtois’ continued absence.
Meanwhile, in midfield, Aurelien Tchouameni is back in the side after missing the Bayern Munich game through suspension.
His return means that Federico Valverde moves to the right side of the four-man midfield unit, leading to Brahim Diaz missing out. Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler are the other two midfielders for the home team.
Up top, Real Madrid start with their superstar duo of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
