Official: Sarri leaves Lazio by mutual consent | OneFootball

Lazio have parted company with Maurizio Sarri by mutual consent. The club said in a statement that his deal had been terminated and marked his departure with a social media video.

This was his second stint on the Stadio Olimpico bench, following 2021 to March 2024, when he left due to family matters.

Sarri took Lazio to the Coppa Italia Final, where they lost 2-0 to Inter, and secured mid-table Serie A safety.

He has agreed a new contract to take over at Atalanta, and will be joined there by Cristiano Giuntoli, who replaces Tony D’Amico as director of sport.

Lazio have already agreed terms with former Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso.
