OGC Nice have effectively put Terem Moffi up for exit, with senior figures making clear the striker should move on amid tensions since last season.
According to L'Équipe, president Maurice Cohen said Moffi has returned and will train with the first team, stressing there is no separate group, but he is on the list of desired departures. Cohen added the club will do everything to transfer him, and that he would surely be moved elsewhere at some point.
New sporting director Roger Ricort supported that stance, saying he believes Moffi acted as he wished and, in his view, cannot play for Nice again. He felt selecting him would be disrespectful to supporters.
Ricort said the club will still treat him properly, working with his agents so he can prepare normally and stay in good physical shape while he remains.
If a departure follows, Ricort said they would shake hands, wish him luck and regard the episode as a failure, noting that such outcomes happen.
