OL Lyonnes forward Kadidiatou Diani, 31, has undergone knee surgery and will be sidelined for several weeks, the club said in a statement.

She injured her external knee ligament during the Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal, which finished 3-1.

Diani did not feature in Sunday’s Coupe de France final, which OL Lyonnes won 4-1 against PSG.

She is already ruled out of the Première Ligue play-off semi-final against Nantes on Saturday, kick-off 18:00.

She could also miss the Champions League final on 23 May and the league final on 29 May, if OL Lyonnes qualify.

As things stand, she might not play again this season for the club.
