After a weekend off due to the Viareggio Tournament, the Serie D season resumes, and it's time for Massimo Oddo's Milan Futuro to make another trip in Lombardy, this time to face a tough Oltrepò side. Here is our Match Preview ahead of the clash on matchday 26 in Serie D Group B.
LATEST FROM MILAN FUTURO Milan Futuro have the chance to extend their impressive unbeaten run on the road: Oddo's side haven't lost away from home since 23 November, and they've picked up 14 points and scored 15 goals over their last six away games, reflecting real growth in both maturity and style of play. They face a side that have shown their best form away from home (9 points on home soil, 25 away), giving Milan Futuro the perfect chance to keep their momentum going. The break also saw Minotti and Piermarini return to group training, giving Oddo more options in defence. Fabio Pandolfi, serving a suspension at Primavera level, could make his Serie D debut, having trained with Milan Futuro this week. Cappelletti and Zukić are out through suspension, while Massimo Oddo is one booking away from serving a ban.
LATEST FROM OLTREPÒ Pablo Granoche's side are one of the youngest teams in Group B (third in average age, behind only Milan Futuro and Vogherese) and are in fine form following impressive wins over ChievoVerona (3-0) and away at Caldiero Terme (4-2, coming back from 2-0 down). Those wins were spearheaded by the attacking duo of Darian Hrom and Gabriele Franceschinis (who scored in the reverse fixture), with three and two goals respectively in the last 180 minutes. Between them, they have 19 league goals (9+10), and they are both in the Top 10 of the league's scoring charts, making them the biggest threat to Milan Futuro's defence. Missing from the squad will be 17-year-old Giacomo Agogliati, who has been called up by the LND Representative team for the Viareggio Tournament.
