Olympiacos reach agreement with Rio Ave for André Luiz | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Olympiacos have reached an agreement with Rio Ave to sign André Luiz, formerly of Flamengo, with negotiations now focused on the player's representatives. The European transfer window closes on Saturday 31.

The Portuguese club had previously turned down a 15 million euros offer from Benfica for the forward.

Flamengo sold André Luiz to Estrela da Amadora in July 2024 for 500,000 euros for 60 percent of his rights. Flamengo retained 32 percent and would be due a share if he is sold.

André Luiz came through at América-RJ and joined Flamengo in 2020 for the under-20s. He debuted for the first team in 2021, later returned to the youth setup, moved on loan in 2023 and was sold to Estrela in 2024.

Flamengo have already secured two signings for 2026, centre-back Vitão, previously at Internacional, and goalkeeper Andrew, to bolster Filipe Luís's defence.

They are also close to announcing Lucas Paquetá, with West Ham having accepted a 41 million euros fixed offer, and only final details being discussed. Flamengo face São Paulo on Wednesday 28 at 21:30, at MorumBIS, in the Campeonato Brasileiro opener.
