Egypt international Omar Fayed has completed a permanent move to Frosinone in the summer window, signing a four-year deal. The club said in a statement that the 2003-born defender has joined from Fenerbahce.

Fayed joined Fenerbahce in 2023. He had loans at Novi Pazar, Beerschot and Arouca, then returned to Türkiye at the start of the current season.

He arrived in Rome last Friday, completed his medical, and signed his paperwork soon after.

The 23-year-old is set for his first taste of Italian football with a Frosinone side recently back in Serie A.

Egyptians have a history in Calcio. Mohamed Salah starred for Fiorentina and Roma between 2015 and 2017, while Hazem Emam joined Udinese in the late 1990s.

Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' had a brief spell at Roma in 2004, Hani Saeed played for Bari, and Ahmed Hegazi moved to Fiorentina in 2012.
