Corinthians president Osmar Stabile is set to travel to the United States on Thursday for a CBF-run immersion event bringing together executives from Séries A and B and state federations to study MLS management models. The programme runs until Sunday 14.

Alambrado Alvinegro reports that Stabile will be the only member of the Corinthians board taking part.

Activities begin on Friday with a focus on the MLS, notably the arrival of marquee stars such as Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, and former players acting as investors, exemplified by David Beckham at Inter Miami.

The following day, the delegation will examine other successful US sports leagues. The schedule ends with officials attending Brazil’s World Cup opener against Morocco at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, at 19:00 Brasília time.

Stabile departs as Corinthians navigate a delicate financial spell, with a payment of seven million dollars, about R$ 35 million, due to Talleres of Argentina by Friday. The debt relates to the January 2024 signing of midfielder Rodrigo Garro, and non-payment could trigger another transfer ban.

The club also faces cash-flow issues, with overdue salaries for the men’s first-team players and coaching staff since last Saturday, repeating last month’s scenario.
