Osula: 'Keep showing the love!'

Osula stepped off the bench to curl home a magnificent clincher against the Red Devils after a breathless 90 minutes in which the hosts - who had been reduced to ten men after the first half dismissal of Jacob Ramsey - were good value for the three points.

Eddie Howe's men wouldn't have secured the victory without the 22-year-old's contribution, though, and it was a night to remember for the Danish frontman, whose second goal of the season will live long in the memory.

Here are some of his post-match thoughts:

On his superb strike...

"I feel amazing, I feel great. I literally prayed for this moment before the game, and thank God I got an answer to my prayers.

"I was so happy to come off the bench and have an impact."

On what Howe asked of him when he brought him on...

"Exactly that! When you come off the bench as a striker, it's to come and have an impact and try and change the game. I'm happy that I've come in and done that."

On what was going through his mind when he picked up possession...

"Obviously I know that I like to take on players when I get the chance, when I get the opportunity one-on-one. As soon as I seen that, I wasn't even thinking anything else - just beat the man and get the shot off. I was practising that in training yesterday, so I'm happy it paid off.

"I know I've got that finish and ability to take on players in me. I think I've shown that before. I'm happy to show that again and I want to keep showing what I can do on the ball."

On taking his chance to impress...

"It's very important. I know when I come on in these type of moments - crucial moments, last minutes - that I'm coming on to change the game. I'm really happy that I done that. I was doing that at the start of the season, then obviously I had an injury, but I've come back now and I'm really happy that one's gone in and hopefully this is a kick-start to continue changing games and having an impact on games."

On the Magpies fans' rendition of his song...

"It was impossible not to hear that! Thank you to the fans for showing the love. Keep showing the love!"
