Palmeiras arrange early exit for Figueiredo as he negotiates with Série B club Ceará | OneFootball

Palmeiras have moved to grant academy midfielder Figueiredo an early permanent release, with the player negotiating a switch to Série B club Ceará, according to Nosso Palestra.

His contract had been due to run until the end of September 2026.

Figueiredo made a single senior appearance for the club, a clássico against Corinthians in the 2025 Paulistão.

Viewed as one of the standout prospects from Palmeiras’ academy, he featured in a successful crop alongside Endrick, Luis Guilherme and Vitor Reis.

In September 2022 he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and was sidelined for about nine months. Shortly after returning, he sustained the same injury in his left knee and required surgery.

In February 2025 he suffered another right-knee ACL injury during the Under-20 Libertadores. He underwent surgery on 28 February and began rehabilitation the following week under the club’s health and performance unit.
