Palmeiras have arranged a training match against Primavera at the Academia de Futebol and are in advanced talks to add Mauense to their interseason schedule.

Primavera, from Indaiatuba, played in the 2026 Paulista top flight, though the sides did not meet under the new format. According to Globo.com, the game is set for Saturday.

Mauense, from the lowest tier of Paulista football, are negotiating a second training match. Talks point to Wednesday as the date.

Palmeiras have lined up two friendlies to run early interseason tests, with most of the squad having completed medicals and resumed training.

It will be Alexander Barboza’s first outing in a Palmeiras shirt. The centre-back visited the facilities before the pause and is training with the group. He cost about R$ 20 million.

Some World Cup call-ups are likely to be absent, notably Flaco López and Jhon Arias. Uruguay, featuring Piquerez and Emiliano Martínez, have already been eliminated, and the pair could feature against Primavera.

The games also offer minutes to academy prospects from the first-team support group. Abel Ferreira is expected at the training ground during the week to observe the youngsters.
