A World Cup fan zone in Paris is not on the police prefecture's agenda for now, according to Le Parisien, though a possible set-up remains under discussion.
Parisians had no fan zone on 30 May, the night PSG beat Arsenal in the Champions League final. The World Cup, running from 11 June to 19 July, could face the same outcome. For the moment, police prefect Patrice Faure is not advocating for one in the capital.
Disorder in Paris after PSG's second European title counts against the idea. On Monday, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said the celebrations led to more than 890 arrests, an increase of over 45 per cent on 2025.
Even so, a fan zone has not been ruled out. A potential arrangement is being considered.
The option could return to the agenda if France go deep into the tournament.
