Pascal Siakam has publicly backed Neymar, sharing images of himself in a Santos shirt that caught the eye of the club’s supporters.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the Indiana Pacers forward posted a carousel wearing the Peixe shirt and captioned it "100% Jesus", echoing one of Neymar’s trademarks.
The gallery featured shots from Neymar’s first spell at Santos, when he rose to global prominence. It also highlighted his effort to return to Brazil’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Siakam added clips of himself playing basketball with friends in the Santos top. In one video he praised Neymar’s impact on Brazilian football and reflected on the forward’s worldwide influence on a generation of fans.
The tribute comes as Neymar approaches what he has confirmed will be his final World Cup in 2026. He is nearing the end of recovery from a right calf injury, and Brazil’s coaching staff expect him to be available from the second group match.
Drafted 27th by the Toronto Raptors in 2016, the Cameroonian won Most Improved Player in 2019 and was integral to the franchise’s first title that season. He moved to the Indiana Pacers in 2024, has taken on a leading role, and has been a frequent All-Star and prominent in the playoffs.
