Pascal Struijk has thanked Leeds United supporters after a superb Premier League return, with a contract decision looming this summer. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the vice-captain will enter the final year of his deal in July.
In an Instagram round-up, he hailed the season and thanked fans for helping the team believe, fight and dream together.
Leeds targeted anything above 18th for 2025/26 and secured safety with three games to spare, finishing 14th on 47 points.
Struijk was central to that progress. Only captain Ethan Ampadu started more than his 33 league matches, and he featured in seven clean sheets. He did not score.
Leeds received interest in Struijk last summer and are expected to again after his impressive Premier League campaign. Signed for virtually nothing in 2018, he would represent significant profit. The summer plan is strategic and disciplined under the new Squad Cost Ratio, part of a three-season build, with players both arriving and departing.
Any sale would carry risk, given his understanding with Jaka Bijol and Joe Rodon, and his status as longest-serving player and vice-captain.
Former striker Jermaine Beckford wants Struijk and Ethan Ampadu to stay, praising their progress, performance levels and robustness across the campaign.
