Paulo Victor, head coach of Brazil’s Under-20 and Under-23 sides, attended Corinthians’ Thursday morning training at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, observing the session at close quarters.
Julio Cesar, the club’s football manager, said in a post that the visit was part of ongoing efforts to connect youth and senior groups and to share information between staff.
The first team includes three Under-20 eligible players: midfielder Dieguinho, 18, forward Gui Negão, 19, and midfielder André Luiz, 20. Under-23 eligible are goalkeepers Kauê, 22, and Felipe Longo, 21, defender João Pedro Tchoca, 22, midfielder Breno Bidon, 21, and forward Kaio César, 22.
Other academy talents being monitored by Fernando Diniz and often training with the seniors include defender Iago Machado, 17, midfielder Gui Amorim, 18, and midfielder Luiz Gustavo Bahia, 20.
Paulo Victor took charge in March and has increased scouting as he shapes a squad for the 2027 South American Under-20 Championship. Across two friendly call-ups so far, only Gui Negão represented Corinthians, then suffered an injury during a Brazil training session. The most recent list contained no Corinthians players.
To date, he has overseen four preparation friendlies, with three wins recorded against Paraguay and Chile.
