Pedro matches Gabigol with Flamengo landmark Zico never reached | OneFootball

Pedro struck twice in Flamengo's 4-0 win over Atlético-MG on Sunday, in the 13th round of the Brasileirão, and in doing so became the third player in club history to score against the 11 principal Brazilian rivals.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he now stands alongside Gabigol and Arrascaeta as the only Flamengo players to have achieved that feat. Gabigol completed his list in February 2022, also against Atlético-MG, while the Uruguayan did so later that year versus Santos.

Pedro's record against the G-12 reads nine against Fluminense, eight against Palmeiras, six against Corinthians and five against Vasco. He has four against Internacional and Santos, three against Botafogo, Cruzeiro and Grêmio, and two against Atlético-MG and São Paulo.

Despite being Flamengo's all-time top scorer with 509 goals, Zico did not score against Cruzeiro in seven games, so he does not join Gabigol, Pedro and Arrascaeta on this list.

Bruno Henrique is close to the milestone. The number 27 has 47 goals against the major rivals but is yet to score against Palmeiras, a meeting scheduled for 23 May in the 17th round of the Brasileirão.

With Pedro available, Flamengo now turn to the Libertadores. On Wednesday, 29, they face Estudiantes (ARG) at 21:30 Brasília time at the Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi in the third round.
